Laws

Law No. 8987 of 02/13/1995, published on 02/14/1995 – Establishes the system for granting and permitting the provision of public services under Article 175 of the Federal Constitution and makes other provisions.

Law No. 9074 of 07/07/1995, published on 07/08/1995 – Establishes rules for granting and extending concessions and permissions for public services and makes other provisions.

Law No. 9427 of 12/26/1996, published on 12/27/1996 – Establishes the National Electrical Energy Agency – ANEEL -, regulates the regime of concessions for Public Electrical Energy Services and makes other provisions.

Resolutions

Normative Resolution No. 077, of 08/18/2004, published on 08/19/2004 – Establishes the procedures linked to the reduction of tariffs for the use of electric transmission and distribution systems, for hydroelectric generation enterprises, characterized as Small Hydroelectric Plant, and those with solar, wind, biomass or qualified cogeneration source, with installed power less than or equal to 30,000 kW.

Normative Resolution No. 166, of 10/10/2005, published on 10/11/2005 – Establishes the consolidated provisions relating to the calculation of the tariff for the use of distribution systems – TUSD – and the electric energy tariff – TE -, as well as amends and revokes the ANEEL Normative Resolutions specified.

Normative Resolution No. 376 of 08/25/ 2009, published on 9/10/2009 – Establishes the procedures linked to the reduction of tariffs for the use of electric transmission and distribution systems, for hydroelectric generation ventures, characterized as Small Hydroelectric Plant, and those with solar, wind, biomass or qualified cogeneration source, with installed power less than or equal to 30,000 kW.

Normative Resolution No. 414 of 9/9/2010, published on 9/15/2010 – Establishes the updated and consolidated provisions relating to the General Conditions for the Supply of Electrical Energy, to be observed in the provision and use of the public electrical energy service, both by concessionaires and permissionaires and by consumers.

Normative Resolution No. 247, of 12/21/2006, published on 12/26/2006 – Establishes the conditions for the commercialization of electric energy, originating from generation undertakings that use encouraged primary sources, with unit or set of consumer units whose load is greater than or equal to 500 kW, under the National Interconnected System – SIN.

Decrees

Decree No. 5163 of 7/30/2004, published on 7/30/2004 – Regulates the commercialization of electric power, the process of granting concessions and authorizations for electric power generation and makes other provisions.

Procedures

Electric Power Distribution Procedures in the National Electric System – PRODIST – The Distribution Procedures – PRODIST – are rules that govern the relationship between the electric power distributors and other agents (consumer units and generating plants) connected to the distribution systems, which include grids and lines in voltage below 230 kilovolts (kV). They also deal with the relationship between the distributors and the Agency in terms of information exchange.
